This page is my radio console where I can surf the audio-verse while working. I've made it public as a service to other polyglot music lovers. The groupings below reflect my personal view of the world. I've tried to group music sources along lines that are meaningful to me. I don't expect them to be meaningful to everyone. Enjoy.
It has long been my position that New England and the Maritimes are a single region which share enough in common, in terms of geography, climate, culture, history, and family connections to justify the notion that they should be united into a single political unit. Both New England and the Maritimes have suffered economically and developmentally from the imaginary line drawn between them. I think of the six states and three provinces as one.
Having grown up a New Englander, I feel as comfortable in the Maritimes as I do in New England. The Maritimes feels familiar to me. It feels like home. I've heard the same from many Maritimers who visit New England. As the links below will show, this mutual sentiment has been going on for centuries... My own family, only a few generations ago, hailed from New Brunswick and Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), as well as New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
